More insight from my dreams

There was another chapter added to my weird dream from the other day, and this one was a lot more involved than the previous one.

It began where I was packing a suitcase in preparation for a holiday. I saw myself getting onto a train and travelling to a city where I did not know where I was headed. I no idea where I was, and I knew no one there. I roamed around the city, looking for somewhere to stay the night. I eventually found a hotel which seemed more like an appartment buliding. The very same man who I'd seen from my previous dream, appeared in this one too. He said to me, "Are you lost?". To which I said, "Yes". He turned towards me and said, "There is a basement appartment that's not being used. You may stay there if you wish". I said "If that's alright?". He simply nodded and gestured the way forward. He guided me towards a lift, than went downwards at first. Then it came to a halt on the basement floor. The dream fastforwarded to where it was day later and I'd lost my suitcase. I was looking everywhere for it, and yet I couldn't find it. The man asked me what was wrong and told him that I'd lost my suitcase. He turned to me and said "You never lost your suitcase, it was right under your nose and you never noticed". To which I looked around and low, there it was. My suitcase was rigt behind me, and had been there the whole time.

Seeking light beyond darkness

We once lived in the most distant shadows of a dark world, a realm devoid of illumination. At least we realised that we had the potential to overcome those shadows. We had the possibility of leaving those shadows behind. We knew that we could live in almost any where in the world, in that positive outlook. There is such a place where we like to go, within our dreams, and we establish a new hope in that place. Here, away from that shadowed domain where no one else will keep us. However, having emerged into this fledgling sense of enlightenment, we intend to become closer to the light. To be become one with it. And we hope to spread out those rays of light across the whole universe.

Strange occurance

Has anyone ever noticed, that sometimes when you dream, it can almost feel as real as everyday life? Well, I've been having some very vivid dream lately. Four dreams in a row, over a time of a few days. Usually, when I dream , I'll have one or two very vivid dreams, and then it'll be a while until I'll have another one. So to me, when something like this happens, it's a pretty rare occurance. I usually remember my dreams, or have a general idea of what they were about at least.

There was one a few years ago that I never really forgot about. It involved an 18th century mansion, and a party going on within the sitting room, I believe. This dream may have seemed to be quite uninteresting at first, although, it soon changed direction very swiftly. I'm not one of these people who will dream about action filled adventures usually, but that dream turned into just that. I saw someone who I've never met before, swinging from the chandaliers in the ceiling, almost in a Tarzan-esque manner.

This latest dream, seemed to strangely connect onto that previous one. It began quite slowly at first, with a cookery class of all things, where we were cooking a pastry dish or something along the lines of that sort. One of the people attending the cookery class was a man who I remember knowing a few years ago, and who for some unknown reason, appeared in my dream. Anyhow, This man, if I remember, was trying to talk to me, and I was busy finishing of my pastry dish which contained tomatoes and potatoes. Don't ask about that, I don't think that what was in the pie, was important to the dream. It's just that the ingredients were featured briefly, and I have yet to figure out why.

Well getting back to the main focus of the dream. I said to the man that I was going to finish my pie, and then he told me quite specifically. "I'll talk to you in a about five minutes then". I finished making my pie someone else, a young blonde woman, said " It's okay, but it needs some gravy". I walked outside of the building to talk to the man, who was already walking away from the site. I shouted to him, "Hey wait a moment". He turned around and smiled at me. Then he said , "How do you remember me?" I said "I remember you from college". Then hee hugged me and he says, "I've got to run an errand". I asked him , "Do you mind if I walked with you?" To which he said, "Yeah if you'd wish too. But it won't be very exciting". So he runs his errand, which happens to be passing on a message to some people who live in the 18th century mansion. He says to me , "Hold on, I've got to ask everyone something". Then he goes inside to the mansion, and speaks to a room full of people. He asks them, "Would you mind if a new person visited you?". To which they all cheered and said in unison, "Happy for us, a new friend of the housemates". They were clearly excited about this, but I still don't figure out what all the attention on me is all about, after all I'm no one special. Then he came out of the mansion for a moment and said "It's going to be okay, they've welcomed you". The dream ends where I enter the house for myself and the man enters the house with me.

Can you listen to the eternal song of the angels? Their wishes are carried on the wind. Angellic wishes which tell of beauty, which tell of peace. As yet we don't know their song. Listen to your heart and you'll hear their song echoed in your heartbeat. The angels song. Sung it is own way, beating inside of everyones heart. Damn all the chaos of not understanding its simple message. If your heart has not truly given up hope, then you can still hear it. The songs of the angels echoing through everything. EGYPT Abu Simbel 2001

They say that some legends never die and Egyptian legends are no exception. Living gods are well mentioned in Egyptian hieroglyphs and texts, but these living gods were usually roles acted out by a race of aliens called the goauld. The purpose of this pretense was to boost their own egos and to trick primitive races into thinking they were gods so they could enslave the primitives for their own selfish purposes or to chose the as hosts for symbiotic life which was the true nature of the goauld. Anyhow one particular Egyptian legend refers to a historic priest called Imhotep. 3000 years he lived in Egypt and he fell in love with a woman, she was the pharaoh's wife, such a love was forbidden. The woman died, her soul was cursed. But Imhotep was distraught and vowed to bring her ack. He tried in vain to bring her back but the pharaoh's guards burst in before he could finish the ritual. They had found his intentions and vowed to stop him. He was condemned to be mummified alive. He lay there for 1000s of years until a descendent of the priests of Amen revived him with the sacred book of the dead, which had laid dormant for 1000s of years. He lived a brief time, but enough time for him to revive his beloved and to go in search of the fabled scorpion king. Anyone that killed the king could claim his infinite power. Imhotep found the king and defeated him, but before he could claim the kings ransom the king's temple collapsed and both Imhotep and his resurrected love died in the ruins. And he was thought lost until?

The grandson of the priest who revived Imhotep in 35 led an expedition to find him again. But this time he would have help from the most unlikely person in the world who you would expect at an Egyptian dig.

Several people enter the ruins of the kings temple carrying digging equipment, torches and a wooden casket. The priest is also a professor of science and an expert in Egyptian mythology. They wander threw corridors and eventually reach a huge chasm. They absail down the wall and wander threw caves eventually reaching the location of the dig. 150 diggers stand around a stone entrance starring in awe at a mummified man lying under some slight rubble. Three diggers start removing the rubble and lift the mummy free from the stones. Lear the priest enters and is greeted by two of the diggers. The rest of the diggers start to form a circle around a stone altar as the mummy is placed on the altars stone slab. They kneel and wait for Lear.

Lear. Have you found him?

Khan. Yes we found him.

Lear. Excellent, has our envoy arrived yet?

Khan. Yes they wait to meet you

Lear. I did not expect him to arrive so soon.

Khan turns to his friend Lon and whispers to him. In Egyptian.

Khan. Hue attar la went ah mesa arisen quo nah neferu.

(He doesn know the envoy is a woman)

Lon. Tee? (Really?)

Khan. Tee! (Really)

Lon laughs and nearly falls over with laughter, Lear over hears them and knows what they said.

Lear, why didn you tell me the envoy was a woman?

Khan. In our culture women are not looked upon highly.

Lear. So? While you work for me you tell me what's going on, is that clear?

Khan. Yes professor I am humbled by you.

Lear. Exactly, so don interfere with me I am the one who pays you.

Khan hangs his head and kicks the sand as they walk over to the envoy. She stands looking at some hieroglyphs on the wall; she sees Lear and turns to greet him. We see it is the tokra Jolinar.

Lear. Hello I see you arrived safely

Jolinar. Yes my journey was swift and careful.

Lear. I am Professor Lear Charleston I am leading this dig.

Jolinar. I am jolinar of the tokra. Pleased to be here.

Lear. I don mean to pry but I can't see what the tokra would want with an old Egyptian dig.

Jolinar. Its helping us decode the goauld mentality to pose as god.

Lear. Right but what do you want with old priest Imhotep here?

Jolinar. He is the only one who can help us find her and revive her.

Lear. Who, Ankhsenamun?

Jolinar. He may ask for her but she is not the one we need.

Lear. We couldn find her body in the temple or the town.

Jolinar. That is weird, but it is Amaunet we seek.

Lear. Then we shall proceed.

He rejoins lon and walks over to the wooden casket he placed down earlier. And Lon goes to help him.

Lear. Can you help me with this lid please Lon.

Lon. Yes professor.

Lear opens the lid and Lon sees there are two books.

Lon. Which book is it? There are two.

Lear. It is the black one I need lon.

Lon. What about the gold one?

Lear. The black book is the book of the dead it gives life.

Lon. The gold one?

Lear. The gold one is the book of the living it takes life away.

Lon. So the gold one is the one we shouldn use?

Lear. That right my simple friend, and you can help me more.

Lon. How may I help professor?

Lear. Seeing as you like the gold one so much you can guard it.

Lon. Me guard the gold one? Really?

Khan interupts.

Khan. Professor we are waiting for you to begin, shall we chant now?

Lear. Yes khan you can begin the chanting.

Khan. Oh thankyou sir.

Lear. Khan aren't you starting the chant?

Khan. Yes sir.

Lear. Khan?

Khan. Yes sir?

Lear. Then what are you doing here? Go and start the chant. Go.

Khan. Yes sir immediately sir.

Lear, KHAN GO . JUST GO. OW!

Khan runs of and joins the chanters , he starts the chant.

Khan. Yea two eye ah. Yeah two eye ah. Yeah two eye ah.

The chanters start chanting and Lear places the book on a lectern and reads.

Lear. Amen RA. Amen day. Sue way huh ah come ah bet ah why ah.

Sue way harem at tee. He seer Rae an. Yea two eye ah. Ah two eye ah.

100 followers of the Egyptian old religion surround a stone table with a mummified man lying on it. A black book sits on a lectern being read by a jaffa priest. The other book a golden book sits in a wooden casket. The man continues reading from the book.

Lear. Rise up. Rise up. Rise up. Release his spirit from Keiba and let him live again.

The man on the table wakes up he is not your usual mummy. He looks like any living person.

Imhotep. What year is it?

Lear. 2001

Imhotep. Truly?

Lear. Yes it is a new century and a new chance

Imhotep. Where is Ankhesenamun?

Imhotep looks around and seeing no sign of her at all he looks at Lear with an anxious look.

Lear. We could not find her grave anywhere in the city

Imhotep feels a sudden drain in his spirit. He collapses and sits on a near by rock he looks distinctly lost.

Imhotep. Without her I am lost.

Lear. You could find someone else to love.

Imhotep looks at Lear as if he has said the worst thing ever

Imhotep. There is no one that will ever replace her she is my eternal love, no one can take that place.

Lear. But she betrayed you how can you still love her

Imhotep. I would not expect you to understand something as deep as this

Jolinar. Hello I am Jolinar I maybe able to help you

Imhotep looks up as Jolinar comes over to him; he looks at her and smiles. Lear folds his arms and gives Imhotep a look as if to say, what were you just saying?

Imhotep. I am Imhotep what have you found?

Lear goes over to one of his aides and talks to him

Lear. If he becomes smitten with her when we find this grave of his love he might change his mind and decide to go with Jolinar.

Adrian. I don think he would do that, you remember when he had that affair with Isis Rae and he still went back to his beloved Ankhesenamun.

Lear. It is men like him I don understand

Adrian. That is maybe because you never went back to your wife after flings with other women ?he did

Lear. I am amazed she would want him back after al those affairs

Adrian. Well one day it got too much for her and she got her own back by having a fling with his brother

Lear. Not really a good way to get revenge on a cheating husband is it?

Adrian. It hits him in the same place it hurt her it made them even

Lear. And he still loves her? I just don get him

Adrian. He is a very complex man Lear

Jolinar. Yes this place I found is called Abydos , it is just down the Nile and we found an obscure grave. It could be what you are looking for. I could take there.

Imhotep. Could it be that you have found it? I must see this place but how will we get there?

Jolinar. Solar sailing ship

Imhotep. The transport of the gods? You must surely be blessed if they entrusted you with their sacred barge.

Lear returns to his former place and puts his arm around Jolinar; she is a little shocked by this and brushes him off.

Lear. I take it you don know about the go uld then?

Imhotep. You mean the gods?

Jolinar turns to Lear and whispers to him in an annoyed tone.

Jolinar. Don tell him about that yet he still has to cope with living in the 21^st century but I will have to tell him I am with the Tokra cause when we revive Amaunet her eyes will glow, he will find out then

Lear backs away not quite trusting her plan.

Imhotep Jolinar Lear and Adrian go to the Nile where the solar barge awaits. Imhotep bows before it stands and waves his arms in the air saying a silent prayer.

Imhotep. My reward has come

Jolinar. There is more to come yet

Imhotep. More good stuff? This is surely a blessing from the gods

Jolinar Imhotep Lear and Adrian step into the barge and sail to Abydos. Lear carries the casket with the books inside. They arrive at Abydos.

Jolinar. This is Abydos.

Imhotep. Where is this grave that you spoke of?

Jolinar. It is over here.

Imhotep. I shall investigate

Jolinar. Lear and I are going to the village to get supplies will you be all right?

Imhotep. I shall be alright I wish to be alone anyway

Lear. I will leave this here

Lear puts the casket down on the ground near Imhotep.

Lear. Will you keep an eye on that for us?

Imhotep. I will watch it like Horus.

Lear. Thank you Imhotep.

Jolinar. Are you coming?

Lear. See you later.

Imhotep moves over to the grave and kneels by the side of the headstone. He moves some of the moss away to reveal the name and inscription. He reads it.

Imhotep. Here lies Shari. Beloved daughter of Kasei and Kailua. Beloved wife of Daniel. Also beloved sister of klorel. Beloved mother of Harrison. May she forever live in the care of the gods and may those who knew her always remember her.

He looks away from the grave and thinks he then looks at it again.

Imhotep. It is not the grave of my love it is the grave of Shari but I do sense something familiar about this woman. I will raise her.

Imhotep concentrates and brings Shari coffin to the surface. He then removes the black book from the casket that Lear bought with him and places it on the lid. He then prized open the lid of the coffin and gently lifts Shari body from inside. He spots a sacred altar near by and gently places the body on the stone slab. He then unwraps the layers of linen from around Shari's face. She had been wrapped in white linen and her body had been mummified. Her beauty had been preserve. Imhotep then opens the book and reads.

Imhotep. Rise up. Rise up. Rise up. Release her spirit from Keiba and let her live again.

Nothing happens he pauses and he reads again.

Imhotep. Rise up. Rise up. Rise up. Release her spirit from Keiba and let her live again.

She doesn stir. Imhotep lifts the body gently off the altar and gently places it back in the coffin. Jolinar and Lear arrive from the village laden with supplies. Jolinar sees the coffin.

Jolinar. What are you doing with that?

She points to the coffin.

Imhotep. I tried to revive her but it didn work

Lear. Do you remember the last the time you tried to resurrect Ankhesenamun?

Imhotep. It was in Abu Simbel I rose her spirit from Keiba through the sacred pool in the temple where you resurrected me

Lear. I think that you need to take her to Abu Simbel to revive her. It worked for Ankhesenamun itl work for this woman as well.

Imhotep. Her name is Shari Amaunet.

Jolinar. Shari Amaunet?

Imhotep. Yes

Jolinar. Yes we need to revive her she is the only hope we have of defeating the goa uld

Imhotep. How come?

Jolinar. She was once a goauld. She may raise a go led but she wont stay one for long cause when she died her host Shari regained control for the last moments. Long enough to tell her ex husband Daniel she still loved him and to tell him about her goauld

son Harrison.

Imhotep. Even tough I don understand what you are talking about I will help you because you helped me

Lear. I will fetch the books and the casket. Can you bring the body of Shari Imhotep?

Jolinar. And I will steer the boat.

Lear. You have the easiest job here

Jolinar. Who else knows the entire sailing lingo and proper operations of boating on this team? And until the airforce officers that are helping us get here I am the only one who knows how to operate this damned thing within 10, 000 miles.

Jolinar gets into the barge and sets it up ready to sail again. She loads up the supplies they got from Abydos village. Lear follows her carrying the caskets with the books inside them. Then Adrian puts the last of the supplies in the barge then Imhotep follows lastly carrying the limp body of Shari in his arms.

Abu Simbel

Lear. Well are back.

Imhotep. Now I shall try and raise her again

Imhotep places the body of Shari gently on the stone table that we saw earlier and Lear opens the casket and removes the black book then hands it to Imhotep. Imhotep opens the book places it on the lectern as Lear did at the very beginning

Imhotep. Rise up. Rise up. Rise up. Release her spirit from Keiba and let her live again.

The waters ripple and the spirit of Shari begins to emerge from the pool but something is not quite right. Imhotep Jolinar and Lear look on as another spirit begins to emerge.

Lear. Send that one back

Imhotep. That is the spirit of Ankhesenamun

Lear. You are meant to be raising the spirit of Shari not Ankhesenamun

Ankhesenamuns spirit has now emerged from the pool and so has Shari. Ankhesenamuns spirit sees the body and heads straight for it, she wants to live again and won let anyone spoil that. She is just about to enter the body when she pauses and heads back towards the pool. Imhotep is confused.

Imhotep. Ankhesenamun come back.

The spirit flies past him and gives him a glance while shaking her head

Lear. She knew it was not her old body

Ankhesenamuns spirit decides to stay and watch. Shari spirit goes towards the body, she passes Ankhesenamun spirit and both get a brief familiar tingling when they do.

Shari awakens and looks around.

Shari. What is going on wasn I dead

Imhotep. You were resting in Keiba and I have raised you

Shari. I can remember who I am

Imhotep. You are Shari Amaunet

Her eyes glow Amaunet is now in control

Lear gestures to Ankhesenamun spirit he turns the page in the black book and reads another verse.

Lear. Now you have become accustomed to yourself and know where you are in this life. It is time for your past life and present to merge as one so you can learn who you really are.

Ankhesenamuns spirit turns into a golden light that pours into Amaunet. Amaunet collapses but opens her eyes again. Imhotep rushes over to her and holds her in his arms

Imhotep. Are you all right Amaunet?

Amaunet. I am now complete.

Amaunet closes her eyes again and imhotep holds her close in his arms

Jolinar. It is going probably be while before she awakens you could take her to apel siarro.

Imhotep. I have never been there.

Jolinar. If I arrange a home for you to stay in will you go?

Imhotep. There is no point in staying here

Jolinar dials up apel siarro and steps through the chappaai. Imhotep gently picks up amaunet in his arms and follows after. Lear packs away the books in the casket and takes them through the chappaai. Adrian picks up the supplies they got from abydos and follows them.

Jolinar. It is good to be home

Imhotep. It is colder than I am used to

Jolinar. You will soon adjust to it and anyway it isnt as cold as p3x9113

Imhotep. Where is this cottage that you arrange for us?

Jolinar. It is not far from here a friend of mine has arranged to met me here and take us to it.

Imhotep. How will we get there?

Jolinar. She has a hover shuttle.

Imhotep. A what?

Jolinar. You will see what I mean, ah here she comes

The four look on as a hovering shuttle approaches. It stops in mid hover and the capsule lid opens then a series of steps come out from the sides and valantra steps out.

She is a wearing a black jumpsuit with a white collar.

Valantra. Ah I see that you bought company

Valantra gestures to the three people standing at the side of jolinar.

Jolinar. This is priest Lear. His aid Adrian. My new friend jolinar. And someone else who I think you met once before. Amaunet.

Valantra approaches and looks at imhotep who is unconsciously lying in imhoteps arms.

Valantra. She needs to rest she will wake soon I will take you to the city

Jolinar places the supplies from abydos in the boot of the capsule. Lear places his casket with the books inside it with the suppiles. Adrian then gets into the shuttle and imhotep follows last. He places Amaunet gently on the seat behind him and closes the capsule lid. Valantra then starts the engines, engages hover mode and steers the hover shuttle back towards the city.

Apel siarro. Astral city. Main habitat area.

Jolinar. Thank you old friend

Valantra. Anytime you need me just give me a call

Valantra lowers the steps for the passengers to get off. Jolinar opens the boot and gets out their stuff. Imhotep carries Amaunet off the shuttle.

Jolinar. Arent you tired? You have carried her all the way from Abydos to Abu Simbel to here. Let alone lifting her coffin from that hole.

Imhotep. No I am not tired but where is the cottage, which one is it?

Jolinar. It is that one

She points to the white one with three floors

Imhotep. Isn't it a little too big for two people? Don they come any smaller?

Jolinar. That is the smallest they come all the cottages here have at least six floors. Three floors is the minimum. It's got something to do with Apellan design principles.

Imhotep. Alright I will place Amaunet inside then I wish to look around the city.

Imhotep. I do but I can't do much for her at the moment

They walk off.

Apel siarro the chappaai.

Valantra has received a communication from the ambassadorial association to tell her to meet some special arrivals at the chappaai. She readies her hover shuttle and hurries to the chappaai. She is on her way but sg1 have already arrived. Jonathan steps out first follwed by Samantha Daniel and tealc.

Jonathan. So here we are campers another New World.

Daniel. I wonder what culture they have.

Jonathan. I don know but you will be the guy to find out wont you?

Daniel. I guess

Jonathan. Lets go and see what we can find

Tealc. Hang ion colonel O'Neill this world is familiar to me.

Daniel. Tealc is this a goauld world?

Tealc. It used to be highly prized by them but the natives fought them and drove them away never to return.

Daniel. Who owned it which system lord?

Tealc. I believe that it was Apollo

Daniel. Apollo the roman god of war, yet another example of the goauld impersonating gods to enslave races and take hosts? Like Shari

Samantha. Are you all right Daniel?

Daniel. Yes I will be, It's been three years since her death it still gets to me

Valantra arrives at the chappaai and hides her shuttle. She walks over to the chappaai, sg1 see her coming. They are a little surprised to be met by one of the locals, but they are still polite to her.

Valantra. Hello travelers welcome to apel siarro.

Jonathan. We are sg1 happy too be here Carter?

Samantha. She is not one of them sir we are all right

Valantra. I assure you I am not a goauld we hate the goauld.

Tealc. Your world was once owned by a goauld

Valantra. It was but that has passed now I believe we have someone here whom you know especially you Daniel

Daniel. Who?

He walks inside and sees Shari lying on the sofa in the lounge.

Daniel. Am I seeing things? Is that my Shari?

Valantra. She still has Amaunet inside her but she is a tokra now. She is waking up I will leave you to it.

Shari. Daniel?

Daniel. I am here my love are you all right?

Shari. Why are you being so nice to me?

Daniel. I love you

Shari. They will still be around and they will want me back when they find I am alive

Shari starts to cry and Daniel goes to comfort her.

Daniel. Don cry Shari if I upset I never meant it

Shari. No its just I don know what I would do if I lost again when I have just found you again

Daniel. You will have me now Shari

Shari. Hold me please Daniel

Daniel. You want me to hold you? Oh I thought I would never hold you again I thought I had lost you.

Daniel holds Shari close to him and they hug each other. Then Daniel kisses her in the cheek she looks into his eyes and he smiles she smiles. He leans kiss her properly and she reciprocates this time.

Daniel. I don know what came over me

Shari. I never thought that you would do that

Shari giggles. Daniel smiles.

Daniel. I am sorry

Shari. Don apologize.

Shari puts her arm on his shoulder he turns to face her again. He kisses her again

And she kisses him. They embrace and they fall onto the sofa. Passions are high and one thing leads to another. I will leave it there for now?
